LAMPS: DIDIER CAN FIRE US TO VICTORY

Frank Lampard says Didier Drogba can bring the title to Chelsea - as long as the team can rediscover the art of defending.

Drogba's double sent Arsenal to their second defeat of the season, and turnedAvram Grant's men into Manchester United's biggest challengers. While the Blues realistically have to win all seven of their games to triumph, Lampard believes the Ivory Coast hitman could still prove the deciding factor.

The midfielder declared: "We all need our big players, and Didier is one of our big players because of the goals he can score as a striker.

"Against Arsenal it was Didier at his best. They've had two of probably the best centre-halves in the Premier League, if not the world, against him and he's gave them a horrible afternoon.

"When you've got Didier in the team he's going to be a big threat.

Even if he's not scoring winning goals he is always a powerhouse.

I don't care who else you put against him, he's the best for me."

But after conceding four goals from set-pieces in a week, England star Lamps admitted: "We can't afford to keep giving cheap goals away. Now we know what we have to do in the title race. If we can beat United and they drop points it's as simple as that. It's far from over.
